Nigerian skitmaker Sabinus has questioned the silence and division among citizens over concerns about bad governance, asking when Nigerians will unite to demand accountability from their leaders.
In a post shared on social media, the comedian lamented that people who speak up about the need for good governance are often told to mind their business, while those who choose to stay out of such discussions are also subjected to insults.
He expressed concern over the situation, noting that several issues are unfolding in the country while many citizens remain silent.
“A lot is going on in this country and we're just keeping quiet. You demand for good governance, they tell you to mind your business. You try to mind your business, they still insult you,” he wrote.
Sabinus questioned when Nigerians would set aside their differences and collectively demand what he described as their rightful entitlements.
“When are we going to come as one and demand for what we're being owed?” he added.
