Social media activist, VeryDarkMan, has taken a swipe at Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile, claiming that the controversy surrounding him has overshadowed the singer’s wedding and the song he promoted during the ceremony.
VDM alleged that Zlatan and his wife used their wedding celebration to promote their song, noting that the event and the music initially attracted attention from guests and social media users.
“You used your wedding, the entire wedding ceremony, to promote a song. Both the husband and wife used their wedding day to promote the music,” he said.
However, he claimed that the attention had since shifted from the wedding and the song to the controversy involving him, adding that David had become collateral damage in the process.
“Now, nobody is talking about the wedding anymore. I don’t even see people talking about the song. All I see everywhere is VDM, VDM. You learn the hard way. Now David has become collateral damage,” he said.
Boasting about his influence on social media, VeryDarkMan added, “Na me get social media, una go see am.”
He further claimed that the ongoing dispute was affecting those involved, insisting that their reactions showed they were unhappy with the situation.
“It’s a battle, it’s a war. It will reach Moscow, it will reach New York. And now it has reached New York, and they’ve calmed down. I know they’re no longer listening to that song. VDM is everywhere. Look at how things have changed.
“You give the fans something to enjoy, and I give them something too,” he added.
Addressing Zlatan directly, the activist said he would eventually speak about the rapper, claiming that the reason he had not previously addressed him was because he is a “Toto.”
